Info about the park

Welcome to the merriest part of Helsinki!

Linnanmäki is Finland’s oldest and most popular amusement park, located in the Alppila quarter of Helsinki. The amusement park, which is owned by the Children’s Day Foundation, was opened for the public in 1950. Linnanmäki has over 40 rides, many different games, as well as restaurants and cafés. The most popular ride in the amusement park is the wooden rollercoaster, which has been delighting visitors since 1951.

The Children’s Day Foundation maintains and develops Linnanmäki amusement park in order to raise funds for child welfare work. So far the Children’s Day Foundation has donated 125 million euros to this important cause. While our visitors are having fun at Linnanmäki amusement park they are also supporting child welfare work.

The Children’s Day Foundation was founded by six child welfare organisations: the Central Union for Child Welfare, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, Barnavårdsföreningen i Finland, the Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters, Parasta Lapsille and Save the Children.
