The new Chief Executive Officer of the Children’s Day Foundation has been appointed

Satu Järvelä has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Children’s Day Foundation. She will assume the position on November 1, 2024. The Children’s Day Foundation maintains and develops Linnanmäki Amusement Park.

Satu Järvelä has 25 years of experience in development and management roles within the hotel and restaurant industry. In recent years, she has served as the General Manager of Scandic hotels, leading Scandic Grand Central for the past four years.

The newly appointed CEO also has prior experience working at Linnanmäki, as she was Director of Restaurant and Retail Operations from 2015 to 2017.

“Satu Järvelä’s background in successfully managing service businesses, focusing on customer and staff experiences, is essential for Linnanmäki’s goals. She is also motivated by the meaningful role of the Children’s Day Foundation as a financial supporter of child welfare work,” says Harri Sailas, Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Day Foundation.

Until November 1, 2024, Satu Orismaa, Linnanmäki’s Director of Safety & Security, Sustainability, and Events, will serve as the Acting CEO of the Children’s Day Foundation.
